Welcome friends. A piece of terminology that has grown in usage in recent times is “Fake News”. (President Trump claims he coined it but that is doubtful). In 2017 “fake news” was awarded “word of the year” status! Naturally newscasters and journalists are offended that the general public should think that their offerings through the media are less than objective. But they are their own worst enemies. The recent Folau saga has illustrated their bias and bent. Folau’s quote of 1 Cor. 6:9ff was almost consistently labelled as a homophobic rant! There was one article which tried to a small degree to be more balanced by describing it as condemnatory of homosexuals and others ( referring to the fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminate, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners also mentioned in the passage) but homosexuals were the focus.

I find it almost fascinating that some of those who object to the passage on the grounds of its condemnation of homosexuality are themselves practising fornicators, adulterers, drunkards et. al. but rather than taking personal offence and rising to defend themselves, feel they are duty-bound to highlight any scriptural condemnation of homosexuality and nothing else!
